Welcome to the AgileResearch Prediction Market!

It really is as easy as One Two Three:

1. You join. That gives you an initial allocation of 5000 "points".
2. You then trade these in the prediction markets, buying and selling as you would on a typical stock exchange.
3. Then, when the market closes, if the prediction comes true - you Win!

Slowly But Surely

Well, the new skin has been applied. Do you like it?! We've also absorbed this site into our AgileResearch brand. Click on the logo in the top left to find out what we do for a living.

A little bit of internal testing has been going on using the World Cup Market. This means at the time of writing the prediction is running at 19 (i.e. England have a 19% chance of winning the World Cup). The shares bought doing this have been placed back on the market at the initial price of 14. However, the prediction price will only fall of people buy! (Ian - I've given you some more points to play with as some of yours were used up in this experiment)

The next installment is to set up some housing price prediction markets. Watch this space.....

We're Nearly There

Today the first Market on this site was launched: "England Will Win The 2006 World Cup". Bet for free on the World Cup!!

In addition we've almost completed a new skin for FreeMarket (which powers this site) so that will be along soon.

What On Earth Have I Found Here????

This site is currently under construction. Feel free to register and post items in the forum but please note predictions are NOT currently being approved.

Prediction Markets are a new innovation which ... takes more time to explain that I have right now. Chris F. Masse defines them by saying "prediction markets aggregate information and produce in-running probabilistic predictions about future events". Leaves me a bit confused.... but his site is worth delving into none the less.

Please see the Help Menu for further details.
